More about the Falcon 2000DX
With the immense success of the DA900 series triple engine intercontinental jet line, the next iteration in the Falcon line was revealed to be the Falcon 2000 series. The inspiration for many of the design features of the Falcon 2000 series is derived from the Falcon 900 series, except the 2000 series features smaller jets with two engines. The first flight of the Falcon 2000 was in March of 1993, and the model received FAA certification in February of 1995.

Key Features of the Falcon 2000DX
Though the standard interior of the Falcon 2000DX is configured to seat eight passengers, as many as nineteen can be accommodated. The cabin is usually split into front and rear areas with club seating in each section, and the cabin is wide enough to place three seats in a row with an aisle. This private business jet features a full stand up lavatory and 134 cubic feet of storage capacity capable of accommodating 1,600 pounds of luggage. With a maximum cabin pressure differential of 9.3, the Falcon 2000DX is capable of maintaining a sea level cabin altitude at an altitude of 25,300 feet.
The wings of the Falcon 2000DX incorporate a super critical airfoil design, a more efficient wing design that allows for smoother flights. The landing gear system features dual wheels on each unit and are hydraulically actuated and electrically controlled.
Capabilities of the Falcon 2000DX
The Falcon 2000DX comes equipped with two Pratt and Whitney PW308C axial-centrifugal flow turbofan engines, with each engine rated for 7,000 pounds of thrust. These engines are dual FADEC controlled, and engine parameters are displayed on three LCD EIEDs. With these powerful engines, the Falcon 2000DX is capable of climbing to an altitude of 37,000 feet in just 15 minutes. In a long range cruise configuration, the Falcon 2000DX can fly at a speed of 437 knots at an altitude of 43,000 feet. In a high speed cruise configuration, this private business jet is capable of flying at a speed of 482 knots at an altitude of 39,000 feet. The Falcon 2000DX is capable of flying for 3,250 nautical miles with eight passengers, offering an impressive range and many destination options.
The Dassault Falcon 2000DX comes standard with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 system. This system utilizes four large format 18 inch by 10 inch LCD displays arranged in a T configuration in conjunction with an APS 4000 auto pilot system, dual Collins ADC 850 digital air data computers, an emergency location transmitter (ELT), an Allied Signal EGPWS, Doppler turbulence detection weather radar, dual Collins FMS 6100 flight management systems, an Allied Signal CVR, a Collins HF 9000 high frequency radio, the Collins Proline 4 ARINC 429 radio comm/nav system, Honeywell Laseref IV IRS’s, a Collins ALT55B radar altimeter, and Sextant 3-tube EIEDs. In addition to the implication of this advanced avionics suite, the Falcon 2000DX also utilizes the Honeywell Enhanced Avionics System (EASy), allowing for better pilot awareness of aircraft trajectory for increased safety and precision.
