What To Do In The Area
- Salinas offers a lot of historical sights, for example, The Steinbeck House, which was the birthplace of the famous John Steinbeck.
- If you're a fan of Steinbeck's work, you'll be delighted to visit the National Steinbeck Center that features the largest Steinbeck archives in the US.
- If you still have some space for more history, you should visit the Harvey-Baker House. It's a historical structure, built in 1868 where the merchant and politician Isaac Julian Harvey used to live.
- Thrilled for more nature? Carmel-by-the-Sea is where you should go. A beautiful beach and a historical Carmel's Mission (built in 1771) is what makes this place such a lovely sight.
- And lastly, there's Monterey, one of the most popular destinations in California, with plenty of other attractions like – for example – a Monterey Bay Aquarium.
