More about the Falcon 900LX
The Falcon 900LX is the latest improvement of Dassault's fabled 900 series. As a tri-engine, wide-body, intercontinental business jet, the 900LX is an appealing choice for travelers who want to cross oceans stylishly, comfortably, and efficiently. The Falcon 900 is one of only two trijets still in production with the other being the Falcon 7X, which was also created by Dassault. The French manufacturer has never been afraid to stand out, however, and the Falcon 900LX encompasses all of Dassault's ideals. The company is directly responsible for producing not only business jets, but also modern fighter jets. This is a claim that not many aircraft manufacturers can make and as a result, the Falcon brand name brings with it the prestige and reliability of Dassault's reputation. Each other Falcon entry in the business jet world enjoys the same popularity and success including not only the Falcon 7X, but also the twin-engine Falcon 2000. As a result, travelers know that any Falcon is a trustworthy and time-tested aircraft that they can rely on.

Key Features of the Falcon 900LX
Where others have abandoned the tri-engine design for the more mainstream twin-engine setup on the vast majority of modern business jet models, Dassault is convinced that the trijet is the safer, more reliable configuration. Unlike a commercial airliner that travels a few predictable and routine city pairings, a business jet must be dynamic, versatile, and flexible in a variety of situations. The Falcon 900LX is capable of intercontinental travel across oceans and therefore, in an engine-out situation, it is much safer to be reliant on two-thirds of the remaining engine power to make it to the nearest landing site. Opposed to twin-engine setups, which would be reliant on one-half of their power in an engine-out situation, Dassault feels that their trijets are preferable for handling the dynamic and ever-changing nature of business jet travel. Combined with the additional flexibility of short-field takeoff capabilities and exceptional hot-and-high performance, the Falcon 900LX is a definitively attractive option for business executives and private travelers who value not only style and luxury, but also safety and reliability above all else.
Capabilities of the Falcon 900LX
Enhancing the original Falcon 900 in several ways, the 900LX brings multiple cabin improvements, a significantly more advanced avionics suite, and an impressive range increase. The additional range is thanks to state-of-the-art blended winglets, which Dassault has also implemented successfully on the Falcon 2000LX to the same effect. Even though the 900LX utilizes the same powerplants as its predecessor, its new winglets allow the aircraft to fly farther with the same engines and fuel capacity. Similar to other Falcon models, the 900LX utilizes Honeywell Primus avionics, which support the newly certified EASy II avionics system. Four 14.1 inch LCDs ensure that pilot awareness and control are maintained at all times. Operators will be pleased with cockpit comfort, state-of-the-art avionics, and the ability to utilize superior short-field capabilities to fly out of short runways in less than optimal conditions. It's fortunate that the improvements over the 900EX are significant and desirable, seeing as though the LX has officially replaced the EX, which will now cease production.
