Launched in 2007 at the European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE), the 2000LX is a more efficient, longer range derivative of the Falcon 2000EX. It officially replaced the EX in the middle of 2010. The original Falcon 2000 was a hugely successful high-performance business jet boasting a large cabin, high speeds, and optimized economy. Over 10 years later, the Falcon 2000LX is an updated version which improves upon its strengths without completely redefining what made it so successful. The Falcon 2000 series is based on the popular Falcon 900 series, but is a smaller, lighter, twin-engine version of the three-engined 900 model.
